How was the name "zzimi_here" created?
zzimi_here's real name is Jimin. She used "Jimin" during her stay in New Jersey. It wasn't until she returned to Korea and the k-pop group "BTS "grew more popular that she started using a nickname instead.
Jimin had been using Ji Min on facebook. She had made her facebook public to more easily accept art commissions. However, she started getting more irrelevant facebook messages one day. Comments such as "choke me with your thighs" and "Where are your jams?" started to frequent her DMs. Not too familiar with the kpop scene, Jimin was confused but did not mind too much.
But one day, Ji Min received a more elaborate DM on facebook, which caused her to decide to use an alias on social media. Jimin became Jimi, and a cuter way to pronounce Jimi in Korean is zzimi (or jjimi).
zzimi wanted to start off her streams by saying, "Hey, Jimi, here~" so she made her Twitch handle "zzimi_here."
Where is Jimi from?
Jimi was born in South Korea. Her family decided to immigrate to the United States of America when Jimi was 9 months old. After spending her childhood in a small town in New Jersey, Jimi flew back to South Korea where she had to readjust cultures.
After a decade in South Korea, Jimi is now familiar with her motherland. She is open to discussions about Korea.
Why and how did Jimi start learning Mahjong?
Jimi came to Korea as soon as she graduated high school. She started university in Korea, not having any friends in the country.
Growing up in the states as an anime fan, even starting her high school Anime Club, Jimi looked for an Anime Club at her university. If anywhere, she knew that was the most familiar environment for her.
When Jimi entered the Anime Club, most of the ladies at the club were either studying abroad or taking a semester off. The only members present at the Anime Club were much older male upperclassmen who were very introverted.
Jimi noticed her upperclassmen playing mahjong. She was already a fan of Akagi (mahjong series) and Kaiji (gambling series), so she had always been interested in learning how to play. Through learning mahjong from her upperclassmen, she was able to make friends.
Why did Jimi switch over from cam streamer to png streamer?
Jimi occasionally still streams with her face cam on. The main reason Jimi started using a png was so that she could hang out with her new friends who were png-streamers/v-streamers. Many were using a technology called Fugi Tech to showcase their friends on stream. Most of Jimi's streamer friends preferred comfy vibes, which meant the majority of their viewers also preferred comfy vibes. Jimi didn't want to break their comfort by having her face plastered in the center of her new friends' streams.

Jimi had always loved manga and anime. It didn't take much convincing to make that transition.

How was the design for zzimi's avatar decided?
Jimi just needed a quick design so she could hang out with V-streamers. But she was new to Twitch, and did not know
how to change the color of her StreamLabs alerts. She drew herself in her first stream outfit, and used the color palette of the StreamLabs alerts.

At first, zzimi was designed to not look very aesthetic, but as time passed, Jimi wanted a more aesthetic avatar. The design itself has not changed.
Why is zzimi a vampire?
It was not a difficult decision to make zzimi a vampire.

1. Irregular Sleep Patterns: Being an international marketer is no excuse for Jimi's horrible sleep schedule. Jimi had always been more comfortable being active at strange hours. Naturally, she gravitated towards careers that matched her erratic sleep pattern.
2. Weak to the sun: Jimi burns easily. Tan? Nope. Straight to sunburn.
3. Anemia: Jimi is anemic. Due to her medical conditions, it take a while for Jimi to wake up.
Other than Mahjong, what other games does zzimi play?
zzimi's PC is hurting. So she is limited in regards to games she can play. CPU-friendly game recommendation are welcomed!
